The Method

The method is called Amichien Bonding® and was developed by Jan Fennell.

Jan, herself, unhappy with traditional dog training methods was searching for something better but didn't know what until one day in 1990 she saw a demonstration by Monty Roberts - the original man who listens to horses. Jan learnt that Monty had studied the wild mustangs in his native America to learn their behaviour and language. She realised that it all boiled down to communication and decided to find a way to work in a similar way with dogs.

She studied anything she could find on wild canines, chiefly the wolf. This revolutionary method is based on the wolf pack, working with the key 4 areas important to their everyday quest for survival.
Because our dogs are all descended from the Gray wolf they all have the same instincts.

Amichien Bonding® is not dog training, but proving to your dog(s) that you are a good leader in a totally non confrontational, force free way. Your dog will elect you leader of its own free will. It is not a quick fix. It is not re-training but a way of life.
There is no place for gadgetry or force, all that you need is to be calm, consistent and convincing.
Amichien Bonding® is learning to communicate with your dog(s) in a way that he/she understands.
